On 27th November 2015, The‘Belt and Road’ and ‘Chinese Enterprises Go Global’ Law Conference was successfully held in Science and Technology Communication Center of Sun Yat-sen University.
The law conference was hosted by the Leading Chinese Lawyers of 1st, 2nd and 3rd term dealing with Cross-Border Legal Affairs, guided by All China Lawyers Association, Guangdong Lawyers Association and Guangzhou Lawyers Association, co-hosted by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Guangzhou Maritime Judges Association, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission and School of Law of Sun Yat-sen University etc, organized by Yang & Lin Co. Law Firm. About 400 guests from the judicial administrative departments, the courts, the arbitration commissions, law firms, overseas enterprises, institutions of higher education, democratic parties and the medias attended this law conference .

The Vice President Ou Yongliang gave his salutatory at the opening ceremony. The Vice Chairman Hu Xian, the Deputy Director Liang Zhen, the Vice President Huang Weiqing and the Vice President Li Hu respectively made a speech at the opening ceremony. The law conference mainly focused on five aspects including the cross-border M & A and anti-monopoly, international trade and international shipping, cross-border dispute resolution, enterprises going global and intellectual property protection, ‘The Belt and Road’ and the free trade zone. More than 40 guests including Teng Fei- the researcher of International Technology l and Economy Study Institute of Development Research Center of the State Council, Zhou Zhaofeng- the EU anti-monopoly law expert and Vice Chairman of Law and Competition Group of the European Chamber of Commerce, Chen Zhongqian- Director of Guangzhou Arbitration Committee, Du Yixing- Deputy Chief Judge of the Fourth Civil Division of Guangdong High People's Court, Xu Yuanping- Chief Judge of the Admiralty Division of Guangzhou Maritime Court, Zhang Liang- Vice President of School of Law of Sun Yat-sen University and others gave wonderful speeches on the related issues. They analyzed the policy and legal issues involved in the process of implementation of the national strategies ‘The Belt and Road’ from different perspectives, which could help Chinese enterprises prevent or solve the legal issues appearing in overseas investment and financing as well as cross-border transactions like intellectual property disputes, anti-monopoly investigations and etc.
Deputy Director of the Maritime Law Committee of All China Lawyers Association, Director of the Maritime Law Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association, Colin Y F Yang (Director of our law firm) gave a speech about "International Trade Terms and Cargo Insurance Liability."
